Assistant Manager Product Development, Cathay Shop Add expected salary to your profile for insights Department: Customer Relationship and Retail Department (CRR) The Assistant Manager Product Development, Cathay Shop sits under the Customer Relationship and Retail Department, will be responsible for advancing Cathay branded product development and sales planning while providing customers with a desirable product selection. Join us now Key Responsibilities Proactively lead and organize the execution of Cathay branded merchandise development activities from product sampling to shipment; and responsible for Cathay branded merchandise activities include sourcing, price negotiation, project follow up, order management, sampling, packaging, supplier management, and on-time shipment Work closely with in-house designers to ensure product design and quality not only meet functional requirements but also strictly adhere to the Cathay brand standards and identity Monitor the sales performance of own-branded products, analyzing data to ensure they meet or exceed revenue and profit KPIs. Use these insights to inform future development and assortment planning; and provide ideas recommendation based on commercial viability, brand alignment, and market trends Act as one of the key contributors to expand the number of products while maintaining a focus on profitability and brand consistency; and act as the key person of communication within the internal department for the upcycle project. Partnership and Business Development Work together with team’s assistant manager and team head on partner relationship development; and monitor partners’ account performance and identify business improvement areas Identify new business opportunities through market research on latest product trend in the travel and sports categories Marketing and eCommerce Assist to plan, coordinate, and execute marketing strategies and campaigns with internal marketing team; and work with vendors to ensure all information on the platform are up-to-date and accurate, include but not limited to product information, price, promotion details, etc Responsible for regularly updating the eCommerce site content using content management tool; and provide regular result analysis and reporting on product sales trend, website traffic and suggest areas of improvement to optimize revenue and profit Continuously evaluate product performance against set financial targets, recommending commercial actions such as promotions or bundling to drive sales and meet KPIs Cross-Functional & Ad-Hoc Contributions Participate and contribute to ad-hoc projects and/or reports whenever required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree holder, with minimum 3 years of related working experience in branded products development Highly organised, detail-orientated and possesses strong analytical skills Able to handle multiple projects with good time management skill Strong passion in discovering the latest trends and products that suit our target audience Excellent social and communication skills Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin preferred Good knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Immediate available is highly preferable Personal & Application Information Cathay Pacific is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
