Learn more at Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and skilled PE Teacher to teach PE subjects to our students. You will be responsible for developing and delivering PE lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum standards, teaching a variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities, and coaching sports teams. In addition to the traditional responsibilities teachers assume in a typical school day, a Bloom KKCA Academy teacher will also take on the exciting responsibilities and challenges of building a young school. Successful candidates will have proven teaching ability and be able to act as a pedagogical leader as the program grows. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum standards which include UK National Curriculum Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A Levels Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the diverse abilities, needs, and learning styles of students Teach a variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities during class, lunch periods, and after-school activities Assess students’ physical fitness, skill development, and progress, providing targeted instruction to foster improvement Incorporate elements of health and wellness education into physical activities to promote healthy lifestyle choices among students Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents Properly maintain and manage PE equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition and safe for use Organize and coach sports teams and other activity-based programs including House activities Coordinate and supervise internal and external sporting events, tournaments, and competitions Participate in professional development workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and research and to continuously enhance teaching skills and knowledge Collaborate with other teachers, school administrators, and community organizations to develop and implement comprehensive PE and wellness programs Attend and actively participate in staff meetings Support the development of school policies and protocols Supervise students during arrival, recess, dismissal, and after-school activities as needed Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students during all school-related activities Key Requirements Knowledge, Abilities, Characteristics, and Interests Knowledge of: Child growth and development Current trends, research, and best practices Primary content areas Ability to: Employ varied teaching methods Create a positive and productive learning environment Motivate students, colleagues, and key stakeholders Handle problems and concerns with sensitivity and tact Confidently and competently communicate orally and in writing with students, parents, and others Plan, establish priorities, and implement activities and performances of understanding for maximum effectiveness Embrace hands-on and project-based learning that is interdisciplinary Use a range of assessments to determine student achievement and then analyze results in order to determine actions for improvement Work effectively, flexibility and adaptability with colleagues, families, and students from different backgrounds and beliefs Value unique perspectives, experiences, and personalities to build relationships Characteristics: Organized and efficient Critical and creative thinker Inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills Approachable and positive Innovative and flexible Comfortable working and flourishing in an ever-changing environment Self-starter, proactive, and an active learner Interests Creativity and innovation Hands-on learning Multiculturalism Person Specification Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum three (3) years of successful classroom (or similar) teaching experience Bachelor’s degree in PE, Education or related disciplines Current teaching certification or licensure Eligible to teach Physical Education (PE) in schools offering local curriculum Strong written and spoken communication skills A commitment to innovative and future-focused education including project-based learning Demonstrated academic excellence Satisfactory criminal background check Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in PE, Education, or related disciplines Strong familiarity with educational technology Commitment to continuous professional development Collaborative, positive and inclusive approach - we strongly value harmony among staff Experience working with students with a range of learning needs and abilities Position Type Full-time Reports To Founder and Head of School or any other person as the Company may decide Qualified candidates will be remunerated with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
