Provides technical underwriting support to Business teams on Personal and Commercial business Handle daily case referrals that fall outside their risk acceptance authority and ensure full compliance with all related underwriting rules and guidelines as set by the Company Work in collaboration with Business teams through the production underwriting framework with an aim to achieve profitable growth for each main class of business Facilitate regular performance review meetings, support to determine and implement effective underwriting strategies Monitor underwriting results at company, team, business line, product or portfolio level and make recommendations for action to correct adverse trends Regularly reviews underwriting workflow in order to allow efficient approval processes and speedy service turnaround Provide support to Business and Marketing teams to ensure accuracy of insurance concepts in sales and marketing materials Where needed, participate in agent or broker meetings with a view to address any underwriting issues on the spot Provide underwriting training to Business teams on need basis Requirement Diploma or degree holder, preferably in insurance-related disciplines Possess professional insurance qualification such as ANZIIF or ACII is preferred At least 6 years’ work experience in general insurance preferably with underwriting knowledge in Property and Casualty classes Mature, independent, result and customer-oriented, self-motivated, business acumen Good analytical, statistical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills A good team player to support different stakeholders Good PC skills in O365 Excellent command of written & spoken English and Chinese About MSIG Insurance Hong Kong (Limited) Headquartered in Japan, MSIG is a long-established global insurer with 14,000 dedicated employees.
