Learning Enhancement Coach

THE ROLE The Learning Enhancement Coach will support pupils to maximise achievements and reach their potential, removing academic, social and emotional barriers to learning. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the social, emotional and educational development of pupils. Work collaboratively with Learning Enhancement, teachers and teaching assistants in the implementation of Individualised Education Plans, Learning Enhancement Plans & Action Plans when required. Monitor pupils’ responses to learning tasks and provide feedback to LET and teaching team. Plan and create alternative resources for pupils. Implement contingency and behavioural road maps for a pupil as directed by LET. Assist pupils to access the classroom safely and during transition times. Provide support for pupils outside the classroom, including access to educational visits and whole‑school activities, to enable pupils to fully participate. Attend team and staff meetings as requested. Undertake professional duties that may be reasonably assigned by LET, Head of Section or Principal. REQUIREMENTS Minimum a teaching qualification or other professional comprehensive qualification related to the child's needs. Relevant behavioural training and professional development. At least 3-5 years of teaching experience working in school. Fluency in English and Putonghua. Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils treating them with respect and consideration. Ability to work effectively with individual pupils, small‑group and whole‑class.
