Supply Chain Director - Manufacturing Industry Job location: Dongguan, with occasional travel to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Management (SCM) Director to drive procurement excellence, supplier innovation, and operational efficiency across our multinational manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Lead and manage the end‑to‑end procurement process: sourcing, quotation, vendor selection, cost negotiation, and vendor management (electronics, metals, plastics preferred). Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to achieve KPIs: cost reduction, lead time optimization, quality assurance, and payment terms control. Stay ahead of market trends, industry best practices, and technological advancements to continuously improve procurement strategies. Oversee procurement administration, customer order processing, material planning, inventory control, and project management. Coach, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance collaboration and professional capabilities. Formulate and optimize procurement strategies to ensure timeliness, cost‑effectiveness, and quality stability of raw materials, equipment, and services. Drive cross‑departmental collaboration with production, business, R&D, finance, and logistics to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Manage PMC and logistics to support operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines. 10+ years of purchasing management experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, including at least 5 years in team leadership. Proven expertise in consumer product manufacturing, preferably in electrical appliances. In‑depth knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical component markets. Strong proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Fluent in English and Chinese (including Putonghua); capable of working with international suppliers and overseas teams. Experience in multinational environments, with deep knowledge of global procurement markets, laws, and cultural differences. Mastery of purchasing processes and supply chain management. Strong supplier development, negotiation, and cost control expertise. Advanced data‑driven decision‑making and strategy optimization skills. Exceptional leadership, team management, and organizational coordination abilities. Sharp market insight, negotiation skills, and business judgment. High resilience, professionalism, and adaptability to fast‑paced environments. Outstanding problem‑solving ability to address supplier defaults, raw material shortages, cost fluctuations, and logistics challenges.
