Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate/Research Assistant (Liver Cancer Research)

Job Responsibilities:

Applicants are expected to contribute to collaborative research projects in discovery of cancer biomarkers using large scale multi-omics approach, organoid technology, and novel animal models, as well as anti-cancer or immuno-oncology drug development.

Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants with strong research background in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering and Biological Science, preferably in Cancer Biology, Immunology, Immuno-oncology, Molecular Biology, Genomic, Proteomic, Metabolomic, Bioinformatics Studies, Single Cell Technology or Medicinal Chemistry.

Applicants should:

  • Possess a demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers
  • Understand CRISPR/Cas9 technology and high-throughput screening techniques
  • Be experienced in molecular biology laboratory techniques and handling mammalian cell culture
  • Have specialized research interest in liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), biomarker identification, bioinformatics, cancer metabolism and hypoxia in cancer development
  • Have research interest and experience in tumour microenvironment
  • Be experienced in mouse models and xenograft models
  • Be experienced in animal handling techniques

Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and be self-motivated, hardworking and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team.

The appointees shall work in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park.

Overseas graduates are welcome to apply; the qualification awarding institution should be among the top 100 institutions for STEM-related subjects in QS/Shanghai Jiao Tong Uni/Times Higher Education/U.S. News world university rankings.

Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow posts should possess a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent qualification in one of the said or related disciplines. (H03/2023/01/RP1)

Applicants for the Research Associate posts should have a master's degree or an equivalent qualification in one of the said or related disciplines. (H03/2023/03/RP1)

Applicants for the Research Assistant posts should have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in one of the said or related disciplines. (H03/2023/05/RP1)
