Student Learning Support Assistant - Bradbury School Add expected salary to your profile for insights Bradbury School is seeking two temporary part‑time (16 hours per week) Student Learning Support Assistants to commence as soon as possible and continue until 26 June 2026. The nature of the role will involve working with children in learning activities under the supervision of the class teacher to whom they are assigned. Job summary To primarily support a small group of assigned students in accessing the school curriculum. This role differs from that of an Educational Assistant, as it does not involve responsibility for administrative, managerial, or auditing activities. To join and work cohesively within a highly motivated and professional teaching group and to link and communicate effectively with staff. Support for Learning and Teaching Assist in the educational and social development of assigned students. Support assigned students in mainstream classes, as well as in specialist PE, Chinese, Performing Arts and Learning Technology classes. Assist students in accessing the curriculum safely. Note: Matters relating to health and safety ultimately remain the responsibility of the teachers. Support assigned students with emotional/behavioural problems and help develop their social skills/behaviours, including supporting the implementation of behaviour programmes if required. Provide support for assigned students inside and outside the classroom, including access to camps, educational visits and whole‑school activities, to enable students to fully participate in these activities. Monitor students’ responses to learning tasks through a range of assessment activities and provide feedback to teachers. Standards and Quality Assurance Support the aims and ethos of Bradbury School. Display concern for the student as a whole person, showing tact, discretion, confidentiality and a willingness to work as a member of a team. Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance. Work collaboratively with Teachers and Education Assistants. Attend team meetings as requested. Recognise and respond effectively to equal opportunities issues as they arise, following relevant policies and procedures. Requirements A good command of written and spoken English. Treat students consistently with respect and consideration, and be concerned for their development as learners. Must have passed IGCSE or an equivalent qualification in Maths and English. Must have passed IB or an equivalent qualification in Maths and English. Valid for students aged 18 and over.
