Plan and control all aspects of all SSL carrier’s service contracts negotiation & procurement. Development of SSL strategy with the objective to provide competitive pricing to achieve better profitability for the company. Enhance the Ocean Carrier relationships to exploit the Ocean Contract opportunities. PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES Send bids to SSL carriers for point to point rates & track all outstanding bid requests. Seek out current market rate levels & update market conditions. Build relationships with all levels of SSL carrier’s origin offices. Maintain current data base of SSL carriers’ service contracts, strengths and weaknesses, and overall services performance. Monitor and ensure SSL carrier’s honoring their space commitment (MQC), providing adequate space and equipment, and are not rolling FXL’s containers. Build and maintain relationship at origin ports between booking agents and SSL carriers Control routing. Monitor bookings made by origins to ensure proper utilization of rates/space/ equipments. Weekly report/update of current market and rate levels. Ad hoc reporting Additional projects and duties as assigned JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE Experience & knowledge: Over 10 years in the freight forwarders/carrier’s trade/pricing experience in Asia region, of which minimum 7 years in management position.
