Computer Science/ICT is integrated within Digital Design in our IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) from Years 7 to 9, and Computer Science and ICT are optional choices for students in Years 10 and 11. In Years 12 and 13, Computer Science is offered in the IB Diploma Programme, and we have recently started offering BTEC International Level 3 in IT. The position will be a two‑year finite contract from August 2026 to August 2028 with the possibility of renewal. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science plus a recognised Postgraduate teaching qualification, or equivalent; Teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation; Teaching experience and/or capacity in a range of Computer Science courses at all levels. Courses offered at KGV include MYP Digital Design, iGCSE Computer Science, iGCSE ICT, IB Diploma Computer Science and BTEC IT (Level 3). Our Digital Design units, iGCSE course and IB course require expertise in Python; therefore, experience teaching in Python is advantageous. Experience and ability to plan and develop curriculum and assessment provision and to adjust its use in the light of data on student learning; Expertise in monitoring the impact of teaching strategies through collaborative enquiry and data‑informed conversations; Ability to participate as a positive and constructive member in faculty professional learning teams; Effective interpersonal skills and ability to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents; Ability to lead or support extra‑curricular activities as part of the whole‑school CAS programme.
