Part‑time Research Assistant – Veterinary Clinical Sciences (Appointment for 6 months) (Ref. T/181/25) The Veterinary Clinical Sciences Department is at the forefront of educational innovation, leveraging AI‑driven language translation techniques. Our goal is to enhance the accessibility of veterinary educational resources in non‑English‑speaking regions, particularly in underdeveloped areas, thus promoting global veterinary educational equity. We are in search of a Research Assistant who not only brings dedication and proactivity but also appreciates the confluence of technology and education in shaping the future of veterinary studies. Project Bone and Microbiota Health after Long‑term Administration of Omeprazole in Thoroughbred Racing Horses Duties Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models for skin disease recognition. Collect, clean, and label dermatological image datasets. Build and maintain a cross‑platform mobile application using Flutter. Integrate AI models into the mobile app to enable real‑time inference. Collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions. Ensure scalable, secure, and efficient deployment of applications using modern DevOps practices. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline. Research experience in medical imaging with machine learning and computer vision. Publications in top conferences for computer vision or medical imaging, such as CVPR. Proficiency in TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Caffe. Familiarity with OpenCV, Scikit‑Learn, and Pandas libraries. Strong programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python, or R. Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and databases. Experience with Dart and Flutter for mobile development. Knowledge of Git, Docker, and CI/CD. Experience in DevOps and cloud deployment (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs). High proficiency in written and spoken English. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. Salary and Conditions of Service Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
