Senior Merchandising Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Merchandising Manager (Kidswear) to join their team Lead a dynamic merchandising team in the exciting kidswear industry where your expertise will drive sourcing excellence and product development success. This senior role offers the opportunity to work with international markets, particularly the USA, while managing comprehensive merchandising operations from concept to bulk production in the vibrant Lai Chi Kok area. What you'll be doing? Team Leadership - Lead and inspire a merchandising team to ensure effective sourcing and merchandising activities while fostering a culture of excellence and achievement Operations Management - Oversee daily operations of complete product development cycles and bulk production processes, ensuring seamless execution from concept to delivery Business Development - Identify new business opportunities and enhance sourcing base to drive growth and expand market reach in the competitive kidswear segment Market Analysis - Work on strategic price setting while performing comprehensive market research and competitors' analysis to maintain competitive advantage Cross-functional Collaboration - Ensure best practices with internal fabric, product development, technical, and quality teams to maintain superior product standards Vendor Management - Manage offshore vendors effectively by setting up comprehensive training programs and establishing clear KPIs for performance optimization Relationship Management - Maintain strong relationships with business partners, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to support long-term business success Strategic Planning - Drive business goals through effective stakeholder management and strategic decision-making across different organizational levels Who are they looking for? Educational Foundation - University graduate in Textile, Clothing, or related discipline, providing the technical knowledge essential for merchandising excellence Industry Expertise - At least 10 years of solid experience in buying office or garment trading field, with experience in USA market being highly preferable Kidswear Specialization - Strong experience handling kidswear items with proven expertise in managing offshore vendors and understanding unique market requirements Leadership Excellence - Strong aggressiveness in leading teams and achieving high vision goals, with capability to handle different levels of counterparts and stakeholders effectively Problem-solving Skills - Excellent problem-solving abilities and superior time management skills to navigate complex merchandising challenges efficiently Language Proficiency - Excellent command of written and spoken English, Chinese including Mandarin to support diverse international business relationships and operations Technical Competency - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for effective business operations and communication Strategic Thinking - Ability to drive business goals through effective relationship management and strategic planning across multiple markets and partnerships Why you should consider this opportunity?
