Deputy Director, Media and Publications (Ref: CEA&MS/DDMP) The Law Society of Hong Kong invites applications from high‑calibre candidates for the position of Deputy Director, Media and Publications. Support and execute comprehensive public relations and media strategies to enhance the Law Society’s visibility and reputation. Coordinate and manage all media interactions, including responding to press inquiries, organising media briefings, and facilitating interviews and events to ensure consistent, accurate, and effective communication of the Law Society’s key messages. Track daily news coverage and prepare summary reports for management as needed, ensuring timely awareness of media narratives and developments relevant to the Law Society. Prepare speeches, articles, press releases, and various kinds of communication materials. Assist in the preparation and coordination of publications of the Law Society. Enhance public awareness through campaigns, social media, and promotional activities. Assist Council members and working groups with communications and research needs. Undertake any other duties as assigned. Requirements: A recognised university degree in law, mass communications, journalism, language or a related discipline. A minimum of 15 years of solid experience in public relations, marketing and event management; with at least 8 years in a managerial position. Profound knowledge of multi‑stakeholder communications, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Excellent planning, organisation and management skills. Proactive, result‑oriented, creative and highly self‑motivated. A team player who can work with colleagues, members and stakeholders. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Suitable candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Director, Media and Publications.
