Job Title: Insurance Officer Client: CCW Global Limited Location: Sheung Wan, Central and Western District, Hong Kong Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Officer to manage all aspects of the company's insurance portfolio for a diverse real estate and property management portfolio. The successful candidate will ensure full regulatory compliance, optimal coverage at competitive costs, efficient claims management, and risk mitigation across residential, commercial, and mixed‑use properties. Key Responsibilities Manage the company-wide insurance programs including property insurance, general liability, professional indemnity, directors & officers (D&O), workers' compensation, cyber liability, and any other relevant policies. Liaise with insurance brokers, underwriters, and insurers to obtain quotations, negotiate terms, renew policies, and place new coverage as required for acquisitions or new projects. Review leases, vendor contracts, and tenancy agreements to ensure appropriate insurance requirements are imposed on tenants, contractors, and service providers, and verify certificates of insurance (COIs). Oversee the claims management process from first notification of loss (FNOL) through settlement; coordinate with loss adjusters, legal counsel, and property managers to minimise downtime and financial impact. Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance schedules, policy documents, premium allocations, and claims registers. Allocate insurance costs accurately across properties, cost centres, and (where applicable) recharge to tenants per lease terms. Conduct periodic risk assessments and insurance audits of the property portfolio and recommend improvements or additional coverage as needed. Ensure compliance with all statutory insurance requirements, lender covenants, and regulatory obligations. Prepare insurance-related reports and budgets for senior management and annual financial planning. Educate property managers, site staff, and other stakeholders on insurance procedures, risk prevention, and claims reporting protocols. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks (e.g., climate risk, cyber threats) affecting real estate insurance. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Professional insurance qualification (e.g., CIP, ARM, ACII, or equivalent) is highly desirable. Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or brokerage, ideally within real estate, property management, or construction sectors. Proven track record in policy placement, renewals, and claims handling. Strong knowledge of property & casualty insurance products relevant to real estate portfolios. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail. Strong negotiation and relationship‑management abilities (brokers, insurers, internal stakeholders). Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and insurance/risk management software. Ability to interpret legal and contractual insurance clauses. Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) – must be able to explain complex insurance concepts to non‑technical staff.
