Assistant Finance Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis / Business Systems Caritas - Hong Kong is a Catholic charitable agency which provides, among others, multi‑service social welfare/services to needy people of Hong Kong. We are looking for a proactive, versatile, and forward‑thinking Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated self‑starter who thrives in a hands‑on environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence and impactful change through data‑informed decision‑making. Responsibilities Project & Financial Planning: Support FM in developing CAPEX/OPEX planning and overseeing the operational budget. Assist in corporate planning and resource allocation across service units. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist FM in the annual budget exercise and coordinate with other service units to ensure timely submissions and alignment with strategic goals. Financial Analysis & Reporting: Perform variance analysis, cost control reviews, and trend/risk assessments. Prepare timely management reports and provide actionable insights to service units. Accounting Operations: Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities and internal cost allocations. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Process Improvement & Automation: Proactively identify and drive improvement of financial systems and processes, focusing on project management, budgeting, and control frameworks to increase operational efficiency and strengthen compliance. Empowering Organizational Growth: Contribute to enhancing financial and system capabilities that will drive the Agency’s strategic evolution, fostering fiscal excellence and digital innovation. Other Duties: Undertake other duties as assigned by FM. Requirements University graduates in Business and/or Accounting and fully/ partially qualified HKICPA. At least 7 years of work experience in commercial, government and/or non‑government organisations. Solid experience in budget preparation, financial planning & management reporting. Relevant experience in system development life cycles and system implementation experience coupled with proficiency in financial accounting or management reporting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Strong business acumen, excellent problem‑solving skills, good sense of urgency, independent but able to work with people of different levels and teams; self‑motivated, detail‑ and deadline‑oriented, and innovative. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and major ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, preferably Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus; and Possess a can‑do spirit with a willingness to engage in hands‑on work to achieve objectives and a passion to work for a charitable organisation. Work Location Caine Road, Mid‑Levels Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
