It includes the planning, study, design, procurement and implementation of the data centre, servers and other IT systems as well as to support the implementation of site works at correctional institutions. Responsibilities Duties – Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the CSD. The proposed staff shall take a leading role of facilitating the project implementation of the CSD new Headquarters relocation project. Act as team lead to assist the project manager to manage and oversee the project implementation progress. Coordinate with different stakeholders including end users, contractors and vendors to ensure the smooth running of projects. Work with the Architectural Services Department & the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department on the site preparation planning work. Conduct Technology Research on IT products / solutions such as system virtualization architecture. Prepare technical specifications of the related IT procurement for the project implementation. Coordinate with users, Government B/Ds and vendors on the project implementation work. Support the setup of the new IT infrastructure, together with its integration of the existing CSDs infrastructure in compliance with the government's IT security policy and standards. Perform and support system implementation activities, such as analysis, design, training, system migration, user acceptance tests and system rollout, of the IT systems which will be migrated to the new Headquarters. Support the wireless network infrastructure including the Wi‑Fi system. Carry out on‑site testing, deployment and rollout activities. Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp: 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp: 3.0 Requirements: Solid working experience in maintenance and support of online information systems. Vmware, Windows and Linux system administration, Veritas NetBackup and Veeam. Maintenance and support of Wi‑Fi systems. Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems. Virtual Private Network (VPN) system. Site preparation. IT products and services procurement. Good analytical skills and able to work independently. Good command in verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese. May have to work outside normal office hours to provide on‑call production support and maintenance services. Working at remote correctional facilities for provision of support services as and when required. Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required. Technical Skills (minimum experience): At least 3 years’ experience in Infrastructure (INF). At least 3 years’ experience in Storage Area Network (SAN). At least 3 years’ experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT). At least 2 years’ experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM). At least 2 years’ experience in Network & System Management (NSM). 1 year’s experience in IT Operational Management (OPM) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in Open View (OPV) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in IT Security (ITS) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in Mobile / Wireless Communication (MWC) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in System Backup Operation (BKO) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) – advantage. Non‑technical Skills (minimum experience): At least 3 years’ experience in working with the Government (GOV). At least 3 years’ experience in vendor management (VMG). At least 2 years’ experience in site preparation (SPE). Good coordination skills – must. At least 2 years’ experience in IT service/outsourcing management (OUT). 1 year’s experience in people management (PMG) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in project management (PRM) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in contract administration (CON) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in Government tendering procedures (GTP) – advantage. 1 year’s experience in conducting IT training/briefing (ITT) – advantage. Education: Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent. Experience: At least 6 years’ post‑qualification experience, including at least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar post and comparable capacity.
