With a spirit of pioneering innovation, HKUST(GZ) charts new territories in cross‑disciplinary education and explores new frontiers in pedagogies, aiming to serve as a role model of the mainland‑Hong Kong integrated educational development and become a world‑famous high‑level university, endeavoring to nurture future‑oriented, high‑level, and innovative talents.The Laboratory Animal Facility at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) is a newly established facility with state‑of‑the‑art equipment and technology. Duties Responsible for vivarium management, operation, animal care, and institutional administration duties. Assist in the vivarium detail design, construction, and future facility operation in coordination with key stakeholders. Work with the purchasing office for tendering procedures. Responsible for equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning. Compliance with regulations, licensing, and accreditation for vivarium operation and lab animal care. Assist in LAF staff recruiting and training. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors. 工作职责 负责实验动物中央实验室的运营管理、动物照料及机构行政职责。 协同关键利益相关方参与动物房详细设计、施工建设及后期设施运营。 配合采购部门完成招标流程。 负责设备采购、安装与调试。 确保动物房运营及实验动物照料符合法规要求、资质许可及认证标准。 协助实验动物设施人员的招聘与培训。 完成上级指派的其他工作任务。 Qualifications An advanced degree in veterinarian medicine, animal science, biology, or related discipline, with substantial experience in managing specific pathogen free laboratory animal facility. Priority will be given to candidates with university laboratory animal facility management experience. Good ability to provide up-to-date methodology in animal research. Extensive and solid knowledge of regulation and national standards relating to animal care and use in research and education fields. A good command of vivarium design and familiar with monitoring performance of major facility equipment. Good ability to interact positively with colleagues and key stakeholders.
