The Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting our senior investing professionals and BDs by managing investment portfolios and market-making deal pipelines, ensuring smooth operational processes. This role involves conducting market research, analyzing financial and operational data, and monitoring portfolio performance while collaborating closely with various teams. Job responsibilities Establish centrality in relevant startup communities, identify market opportunities, ensure the Amber team has access to investment opportunities. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities and partnerships. Monitor industry trends and maintain a detailed research database of companies in relevant sectors, ensuring the data is accurate and up-to-date for operational reporting. Manage the operational aspects of investment and market making projects, including timeline management, resource allocation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Build and manage a pipeline of potential deals, assisting the team in managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery on partnered projects. Maintain accurate records of investment activities, transactions, and communications, ensuring efficient back-office operations and streamlined reporting processes. Job requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) is preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in investment management, portfolio analysis, or a related field. Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, digital assets, familiarity with Web 3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; Mandarin speaking is a plus. Good team player with a startup mindset and respect for timelines. Direct experience in deal execution or investment operations at venture capital firms is preferred. Immediate availability is preferred.
