Job Scope As the Chief Executive Officer in an Upsurging Asset Management, your key responsibility will be to: Helm the entire organisation with sovereign authority, unifying the Investment Division (directing elite portfolio managers, analysts, and traders), Operations (ensuring seamless, scalable global infrastructure), Risk & Compliance (embedding gold‑standard governance aligned with SFC and cross‑border regimes), Information Technology (driving digital transformation via proprietary systems and cybersecurity), and Human Resources (fostering a high‑performance culture to attract and retain top talent). Forge cohesive leadership across all functions to drive operational synergy, risk mitigation, and sustainable enterprise excellence. Spearhead the design, regulatory navigation, and triumphant launch of flagship public funds and bespoke private fund structures, positioning the firm as a preferred counterparty for discerning capital. Devise and execute a sophisticated distribution strategy targeting high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, pension schemes, sovereign entities, and institutional investors, leveraging deep market intelligence and multichannel networks while ensuring unwavering adherence to global compliance standards. Formulate and champion the firm’s strategic blueprint, encompassing capital allocation, geographic expansion, product innovation, and sustainable profitability trajectories. Serve as the firm’s public face and strategic voice, cultivating enduring relationships with regulators, counterparties, and the investment community. Deliver Board-level stewardship, translating visionary objectives into measurable outcomes, rigorous financial discipline, and exemplary corporate governance. Requirements Postgraduate qualification (MBA, Master’s, or equivalent) from a tier-one institution; CFA/CAIA designation highly regarded. Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership within reputable asset management or private banking institutions, with proven P&L ownership of a multi‑asset, multi‑jurisdictional platform. Direct experience launching and scaling public and private funds in Hong Kong and international markets, with a demonstrable track record of capital‑raising success (USD 500m+ AUM milestones). Intimate familiarity with SFC Type 1, 4, and 9 regulatory frameworks, alongside broader APAC and global compliance landscapes. A sophisticated distribution playbook evidenced by established conduits to HNW, ultra‑HNW, and institutional investor segments across Greater China, Southeast Asia, and beyond. Exceptional strategic acumen, financial rigor, and crisis‑navigation prowess, tempered by intellectual agility and persuasive eloquence. Trilingual fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, with gravitas suitable for C‑suite and investor-facing forums.
