Job Description (TEST) Analyst Programmer (For Serving HA staff Only) (ACT_0001) Reference No. ACT_0001 Position Analyst Programmer (For Serving HA staff Only) Office Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong West Cluster Pay HK$36,059 to HK$55,053 per month (including Monthly Allowance) HGPS Point 17 to 26 (See remarks 2) Key Responsibilities Provide proficient configuration, testing, technicaloperational or user support on system hardware, software or services in theareas of responsibility. Monitor systems connectivity, performance andsecurity control in the areas of responsibility. Implement technical infrastructure enhancements suchas network, computer platform, desktop computer and data center. Conduct detailed system analysis and design, problemdiagnosis, propose, develop and implement IT solutions. Assist in provision of consultancy based oninformation technology and industry expertise in areas of responsibility. Prepare requirement specifications of IT solutionsin areas of responsibility. Monitor service provision of IT solutions in areasof responsibility . Provide competent level of user support . Prepare cases for testing IT solutions in areas ofresponsibility. Maintain system documentations and reports of ITsolutions in areas of responsibility . Supervise subordinates and resolve technical issuesfor application development and testing . Carry out quality assurance and accept workdeliverables from the subordinates. Prepare user guide and conduct user training. Provide expertise assistance and management insetting up data communication network for renovation and redevelopmentprojects. Provide after office hours system support. Entry Requirements Degree in Computer Science or relevant disciplines;or equivalent. 4 years’ post qualification Information Technology(IT) related experience.* *Relevantexperience gained in HA may be considered as equivalent to post-qualificationexperience Preferred Attributes / Exposure Solid working experience for the following areas: MS SQL server setup and administration, Windows Server setup and administration, Web server and Web application security, Web development with using ASP.NET, ASP, HTML5, CSS, MS SQL programming. Solid knowledge and working experience in datacommunication networking. Good command in English writing. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work independently and under pressure in anefficient and accurate manner. Remarks Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package / employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. May require to work over-night shifts and/or provide 24-hour on call support, and when necessary, provide on-site support services at different hospitals.
