Role Overview The Director of Sales – APAC & China will lead Arduino’s commercial expansion across one of the fastest‑growing regions for IoT, Automation, and STEM education. This strategic role focuses on driving revenue growth, creating and managing a network of Distribution Partners and resellers, building strong customer relationships, and developing regional go‑to‑market strategies aligned with Arduino’s global objectives. Key Responsibilities Regional Strategy & Execution Manage existing Arduino Distributors and resellers in the region for revenue growth and create a new set of Distribution/reseller partners to enable growth in the Asia Pacific region. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for APJC, aligned with Arduino’s global growth priorities in IoT, Education, and Industrial Automation. Maintain revenue growth for the entire Arduino portfolio (Makers, Education, PRO) for the region. Drive successful market penetration for upcoming Qualcomm‑based products (e.g., Uno Q and Monza) through channel enablement, education, and ecosystem partnerships. Revenue Growth Own regional revenue targets and deliver consistent growth through direct sales, channel partnerships, and enterprise accounts. Expand Arduino Pro solutions for industrial IoT applications and strengthen adoption in educational institutions and maker communities. Channel & Ecosystem Development Build and scale distribution networks, ODM partnerships, and accessory/kit ecosystems to drive incremental revenue and stickiness. Leverage existing relationships with distributors and ODMs to accelerate time‑to‑market for new products. Team Leadership Build, coach, and manage a high‑performing regional sales team, fostering collaboration across marketing, technical support, and product management. Customer & Partner Engagement Develop and maintain executive‑level relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners. Represent Arduino at industry events, conferences, and customer forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership. Market Intelligence Monitor regional trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform proactive sales strategies. Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to global leadership. Qualifications 15+ years in technology sales, with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role within APJC. Proven track record of driving double‑digit revenue growth through channel expansion and strategic partnerships. Expertise in SBCs (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Nvidia, Rockchip) and MCUs, aligned with Arduino’s product roadmap. Strong understanding of open‑source ecosystems, hardware/software integration, and IoT solutions. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and cross‑cultural communication skills. Skilled in new product introductions and market entry strategies. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. Willingness to travel extensively across APAC and China.
