Data Specialist, Data Governance and Management Define and govern the data vision, policies, standards and framework that aligns with the Company’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements and Head Office standards & framework. Overview Assist the team head to manage data governance activities, formulate and implement strategies to ensure a robust data infrastructure and process management across the Company. Maintain data related documentation, monitor and regularly review the data governance standard and framework, bridge technology, process and business stakeholders to solicit buy-in for defining, prioritizing and implementing data governance initiatives. Responsible for rolling out any data governance related initiatives – planning, execution and providing coordination and direction for data quality management activities, helping to establish data ownership, drive and collaborate with IT and business departments. Responsibilities Assist the team head in managing data governance activities and implementing data governance strategies. Maintain data related documentation and monitor the data governance standard and framework. Bridge technology, process and business stakeholders to solicit their buy-in and subsequent joint efforts in defining, prioritizing and implementing data governance initiatives. Roll out data governance initiatives – planning, execution and providing coordination and direction for data quality management activities. Help establish data ownership, drive and collaborate with IT and business departments. Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor. Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Data and Information Management, Business Administration or related discipline (Master’s degree is an advantage). Minimum 5 years’ experience in data governance, data quality management, preferably within the retail industry. Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior role. Proven experience in implementing data governance policies and procedures. Strong understanding of data standards, data quality framework and data governance best practices. Proficient in Chinese and Mandarin. Strong leadership, organizational, problem solving, influencing and communication skills.
