More Information Address: 224 Waterloo Rd, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong Qualification: PhD HONG KONG BAPTIST UNIVERSITY ACADEMY OF VISUAL ARTS The Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) is committed to providing the best visual arts education, combining studio-based research, critical and historical studies, and sustainable service for the cultural and creative sectors as well as for the community at large. The Academy currently has 26 full-time faculty members and has developed rapidly, building an international teaching team and developing multi‑faceted programmes based on an interdisciplinary curriculum. Part‑time Lecturers (various positions) (PR0009/23-24) The appointee is expected to teach courses for visual arts students as well as non‑major students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. Applicants should have at least a master’s degree in a relevant discipline, teaching experience, a good record of professional practice, knowledge of the contemporary visual arts and familiarity with the broader issues and trends in the field. Art History and Theory in the areas of: Ceramics Printmaking Graphic Arts Object Culture Object Technology (device art, automation and performance, robotics and generative AI, etc) Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Re‑appointment is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
