BA/PM Lead - Greenfield Data Project - Investment Bank Job Description: My client is a leading investment bank in Hong Kong. They are looking for a Business Analyst/Project Manager Lead for their IT Data Group. IT Data Group is the team to build on top of Data Governance, create unified data platform, migrate data needed for enterprise data applications (CRM, Reports, Compliance, Risk Control, Audit, Performance) to this platform, and develop core data applications, for example CRM. Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Sr. PM/BA to join my client's data group, focusing on the core client and product system, as well as the next-generation data platform. Projects will include analyzing and designing user requirements for the data systems, strengthening platform offerings, and implementing data governance and enterprise data applications. This is a unique opportunity to work on a near greenfield, technology-driven project aimed at delivering an enterprise data platform and its applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong domain knowledge in the financial industry, particularly in product, client, and trade data. They should have experience in designing unifying data models for each class and be capable of independently finding solutions to data problems. Additionally, the candidate must excel in team settings, both as a contributor and a leader, and work closely with the technology team to drive the delivery of designed solutions. Effective communication and clarity are crucial. As the decisions made by the candidate will have long-lasting and significant impacts on a critical global initiative, these decisions, related analysis, and specification documents need to be well-captured for future review and learning. Job Responsibilities: Report to the Head of Data. Experienced in analyzing and modeling product and client data in an investment banking setting. Experienced in project management to drive the delivery. Analyze data models from different business streams. Drive the buildout of enterprise data solutions to fulfill general business needs. Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures. Skills and Experience Strong understanding and modelling of financial product, client, and trade information. Strong data sense and critical thinking. Strong proficiency in SQL. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent team player, open to new ideas. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and willing to learn and teach. Knowledge of P&L/Revenue calculation and business intelligence analytics is a plus.
