Full Stack Engineer

Location: Remote (Ideally APAC based) Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our growing team. While this role encompasses both frontend and backend development, your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems and underlying cloud infrastructure. You will play a critical role in shaping and scaling our core services, API architecture, and database solutions, ensuring our applications can handle increasing load and complexity. Key Responsibilities Backend Development (Primary Focus): Implement and optimize database schemas, queries, and migrations for both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) databases. Comfortable with database paradigms, ORMs and scalable DB services. Develop, apply, and manage different service architectures, ensuring effective communication and data flow between components. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns. Infrastructure & DevOps (Strong Focus): Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure. Build and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring. Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to manage application deployments efficiently. Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance. Ensure system security, data integrity, and disaster recovery readiness. Web3 (Secondary Focus): Knowledgeable over web3 concepts such as Protocols, POW/POS, smart contracts, Nodes & RPCs, consensus mechanisms, wallets. Ideally with some experience/exposure to the web3 industry and some work related to the area. Frontend Development (Secondary Focus): Contribute to the development and integration of backend services and user-facing features. Fairly comfortable with React.js and willing to learn / maintain UI code occasionally. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality code. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-quality solutions. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve functionality and performance. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend systems and infrastructure. Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including core services (e.g., EC2/Compute Engine, S3/Cloud Storage, RDS/Cloud SQL, Lambda/Cloud Functions). Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and experience with database design and optimization. Experience with RESTful API design and development. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI). Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is highly preferred. Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with specific backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Express.js). Knowledge of message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS). Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g., React) is a plus. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
