Marketing & Business Development Executive (American Law Firm)

About the Team Be an integral member of a growing and energetic BD team, providing proactive support to lawyers across the Asia region, specifically focusing on the Hong Kong and China offices. About the Job Proposals and Pitching (Core Focus) : Develop tailored pitch and proposal materials for Asia offices, including multi‑practice global proposals, delivering a high‑quality "first time working product". Content and Data Management : Maintain the pitch content library, update website/intranet information, and ensure all proposal opportunities are tracked in the firm’s CRM system. Profile Raising & Communications : Coordinate legal directory submissions and industry award applications. Assist with thought leadership campaigns, client alerts, newsletters, and social media posts (including LinkedIn and WeChat). Events and Research : Project manage small, medium, and large‑scale client events (e.g., webinars, seminars, receptions). Conduct client/prospective client research and analysis. Skills & Experience Required Specialist/Coordinator Level : Minimum of two to three years of experience in preparing Business Development collateral, pitches, and RFP responses. Senior Executive Level : At least 3 years in a marketing/business development role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment. Mandatory Professional Experience : Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is required. Education : Educated to degree level or equivalent. Bilingual Requirement : Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin are essential. Japanese proficiency is preferred for some roles. Core Attributes : Highly resourceful, dynamic, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage a large workload under pressure. Key Responsibilities Develop tailored pitch and proposal materials for Asia offices. Maintain the pitch content library and track proposal opportunities in CRM. Coordinate legal directory submissions and industry award applications. Project manage client events of various sizes. Experience Minimum 2 years of relevant business development or marketing experience.
