Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with business objectives. Identify potential project risks and develop effective contingency and mitigation plans. Proactively address technical and operational challenges to minimize disruptions. Manage a small team of local and offshore developers, providing guidance and support. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency. Maintain clear, consistent, and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and business units. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations. Provide hands-on technical involvement in the development and maintenance of web-based systems. Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, testing, and deployment. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across projects. Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report status. Provide support for production incidents, including investigation, resolution, and post-incident analysis. Participate in and coordinate production deployments, ensuring minimal impact to business operations. Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of working experience in IT industry, insurance-related preferrable. Proficient in Java and the Spring framework, with strong experience in web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Proficient in relational databases with a strong grasp of core database concepts, including normalization, indexing, query optimization, and data integrity. Proven experience in managing technical work within a small team environment. Familiarity with both agile and waterfall project management methodologies. Exposure to the full software development life cycle (SDLC). Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues and proposing effective solutions. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. Understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment models. Experience working within a DevSecOps model, integrating security into development and operations workflows. Consistently demonstrates ownership of assigned tasks, proactively follows through, and strives to deliver effective solutions. Excellent command of technical skills, with the ability to grasp complex systems and concepts quickly. Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
