Associate, Operations, Capital Partners at CLSA CLSA Capital Partners (CLSACP), the overseas alternative asset management arm of CITIC Securities, manages more than US$5 billion in assets across private equity, transportation & real assets and private credit strategy. The Associate, Operations provides daily operational, risk, compliance, legal and regulatory support to the manager and senior management team, and assists in preparing management reports, business plans and regulatory filings. Key Areas of Responsibilities Management Support – Work closely with the manager and management team to assist in implementing, monitoring and supporting all operational aspects of the business across regions and strategies, and providing support for board and management meetings, agendas, minutes, governance papers. Business Support – Support the Fund strategy teams in fundraising activities, including investor onboarding, AML/KYC, due diligence meetings, questionnaires, new fund launches, and help establish the operating model for new teams. Regulatory and Compliance – Assist the manager and collaborate with stakeholders and the group in regulatory and compliance implementation, monitoring, filing and AML liaison with administrators. Governance – Ensure application of the Corporate Governance Framework, develop and execute operating policies, and drive ESG initiatives such as ESG policy reviews and UNPRI reporting. Risk Management – Oversee the business risk‑management framework and conduct daily and periodic risk reviews. Project Management – Manage day‑to‑day projects and special initiatives focused on operational efficiency. Stakeholder Management – Work with internal teams (Group Tax, FATCA‑CRS, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Admin, HR, Audit) on group‑wide initiatives. Service Provider Management – Lead negotiations, pricing and service reviews with external providers. Internal Management Reporting and Liaison – Prepare executive‑level management reports (quarterly performance, annual business reports) in English and Chinese, liaise with head‑office counterparts and align new initiatives with the parent company. Requirements Postgraduate degree holder with CPA, ACCA, ACA, HKSA or legal qualifications. At least 4 years of experience in operations, compliance or risk management in the Private Funds / buy‑side industry. Commercial acumen and strong analytic skills with the ability to assimilate complex information. Experience in Business Management, Compliance and/or Risk Management preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to develop relationships and influence stakeholders at all seniority levels within a large organization. Strong Chinese and English report‑writing skills, able to communicate detailed information and critical concepts concisely. Ability to handle multiple projects, work independently and be a good team player. Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
