Temporary Research Assistant II (R6880) (A&SS) (Ref: 25002PP) We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences : Temporary Research Assistant II (R6880) (A&SS) (Ref: 25002PP) Major Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive literature searches and reviews. Coordinate field operations and liaise with partner NGOs and community stakeholders. Manage project logistics, including coordination of student helpers and survey data collection. Perform quantitative data analysis using statistical software. Assist in the preparation of research reports, academic publications, and presentation materials. Perform other research‑related duties as assigned. Candidates A recognised bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related discipline. Demonstrated knowledge of social science research methods; experience in quantitative survey design and execution is essential. Prior experience working with South Asian ethnic minority groups is highly advantageous. Proficiency in quantitative data analysis (SPSS preferred). Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua). Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Terms and Conditions for Appointment The successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full‑time contract. He/she will work no more than 17 hours per week for the period between January 2026 and October 2026. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
