Compliance and Risk Management (Hong Kong and Overseas) Provide advice on all risk and compliance matters for Hong Kong and Overseas Offices, including but not limited to Law Society compliance, contract review, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, client due diligence, anti-money laundering policies etc. Development and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with the firm’s policies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, and legal industry standards. Regularly review compliance policies and procedures to identify compliance gaps and risks. Collaborate with legal and operational teams to identify compliance issues. Conduct risk assessments and assist in the development of risk management plans. Identify potential legal and compliance risks in operations and develop corresponding compliance strategies. Advise management on compliance‑related risks and recommend appropriate courses of action. Develop and deliver training programs on legal compliance, ethics and best practices, such as AML policy training. Knowledge Management Create and maintain a centralized repository of legal resources, including case law, statutes, regulations, and legal opinions. Develop and maintain internal databases and ensure Practice Group content, precedents, and resource materials are up‑to‑date. Review internal and publicly available transaction agreements and market studies to identify market trends. Document Process Management Develop and maintain standardized templates and forms, including but not limited to engagement letters, KYC questionnaires. Implement procedures to manage documents, including version control, approvals and archiving. Requirements Degree holder in Law, preference will be given to those with experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department. Strong knowledge of compliance with local regulations, prior experience with establishing a compliance and risk assessment framework highly sought after. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to set and meet high standards, good organisational and structured thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple competing priorities. Be hands‑on, adaptable, proactive, positive attitude, and willing to assist the team with various tasks as needed.
