Work-life Balance Competitive Remuneration About Our Client We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager - Market Surveillance to join our Hong Kong office. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of our high frequency trading activities across equities and derivatives markets throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will lead regional surveillance initiatives, manage alerts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Job Description Oversee daily market surveillance activities across multiple Asia-Pacific markets, focusing on alerts in equities and derivatives Review, investigate, and escalate potential market abuse, insider trading, and manipulation cases regionally Manage and enhance surveillance systems, ensuring alerts are appropriately calibrated and effective across jurisdictions Apply data analysis techniques to identify trading patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks Provide leadership, guidance, and training to surveillance analysts across the region Prepare reports and present findings to senior management, regulators, and regional governance committees Contribute to the design and implementation of new regional surveillance controls and frameworks The Successful Applicant Minimum 8 years of experience in market surveillance within investment banking or financial services Strong knowledge of equities and derivatives markets, trading practices, and surveillance methodologies Hands-on experience with surveillance systems and alert management tools (e.g., SMARTS, Actimize, or similar) Proven ability to conduct data analysis (Excel, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools preferred) Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and regulators across the regions Fluent in English and Cantonese What's on Offer Opportunity to explore a regional surveillance function in foreign bank Exposure to complex global markets and high-impact surveillance initiatives Competitive compensation and benefits package Collaborative, diverse, and inclusive work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
