Position Overview The primary role is to maximise student learning and development through planning, preparation, and teaching of programs tailored to meet individual learning needs and achieve specific student outcomes. Teachers deliver lessons across a range of student abilities with effective differentiation, engage in ongoing assessment and feedback, foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff, and continuously develop professional knowledge and skills. Innovative teaching methods and resources, including the integration of technology, are encouraged to support learning and creativity. The role also aims to promote social, emotional, and physical development through integration of relevant life skills and values into the curriculum. Engage in critical reflection and professional development to continuously improve knowledge and skills and student engagement. Implement innovative teaching methods and resources, integrating technology to support learning and creativity. Promote social, emotional, and physical development through integration of life skills and values into the curriculum. General Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Education (e.g., PGCE/PGDE). Understanding of the PYP and the key underpinnings of curriculum frameworks is advantageous. Newly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational institute. Standard competencies and capabilities required to be a primary school teacher at an ESF school. Important note: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau.
