About the Role The HSSE Manager NEA is the designated Management Representative on all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) related matters for the Company. The incumbent will lead and manage the implementation and assurance of Fugro Asia Pacific HSSE processes and systems within North‑East Asia that must be in line with Fugro Corporate Policies, Standards, prevailing legislation, and industry accepted best practice. The incumbent is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the effective implementation of Country and / or Business Unit specific HSSE Management System and programmes to meet local regulatory and client expectations. He or She is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of HSSE within NEA, including our Hong Kong, mainland China, and Japan operations, and provides competent advice, guidance and analysis to management and employees. He or She must support the effective execution of projects. Reports to: Functionally to the Head of HSSE APAC and operationally to the Director, Hong Kong Job Responsibilities 1. Operations Set the HSSE direction to be aligned with business goals, and champion all HSSE related initiatives, plans and campaigns. Oversees all HSSE matters in NEA. Administering and maintaining the HSSE management system, statistics, records and more. Keeping service / business lines, projects and / or departments managers informed of their statutory, corporate, and contractual HSSE obligations. Assisting the development of HSSE management procedures. Improving HSSE awareness and ensuring that safe working practices are carried out in accordance with both Company and statutory requirements. Adopting and formulating safe working systems and practices. Ensuring management is advised of any deficiencies in equipment standards, operating procedures and more. Initiating appropriate action following receipt of a report of any accident involving health and safety and report of HSSE meetings. Obtaining appropriate guidance from specialist services. Participating in management HSSE and related meetings. Report accidents to management and participating in accident investigation. Reviewing, advising, and amending contractual requirements on health, safety, security, and environment. Developing and reviewing the HSSE action plan for operations / projects. Organizing and arranging HSSE meetings and internal HSSE audits. Co‑ordinating, scheduling and assisting in HSSE training / activities within the Company. Liaising with department managers in the identification of HSSE conformance and subsequent removal of actual potential hazards. Maintaining a liaison with client and / or departments regarding HSSE audits and contractual requirements. Assist in promoting and marketing Fugro services 3. Marketing Assist in protecting Fugro assets and financial position. 4. Personnel Supervises personnel under their control in accordance with Fugro HR Policies 5. Specific Additional Duties Assisting or carrying out survey vessel, positioning base station and office HSSE audit in the region and HSSE Induction as and when necessary. 6. Principal Working Relationships Working and supporting internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to Company HSSE obligations. Job Requirements Degree holder or above in Science / Engineering / Safety disciplines Registered Safety Officer of Labour Department, or eligible for registration prior to appointment Experience leading investigations, root cause analysis, and delivering incident investigation reports Experience facilitating project focused HAZID / HIRA workshops At least 5 years of experiences in audits, HSSE, risk and issue management At least 5 years of experience in leading HSSE teams across multiple locations within a similar industry with multinational corporation Strong interpersonal and communication skills What we offer Medical and Dental insurance Discretionary Bonus Annual leave Employee Assistance Programme Fugro provides a positive work environment as well as projects that will satisfy the most curious minds.
