Temp Assistant Manager (Community First Aid Fire Emergency Operation) The Hong Kong Red Cross was established in 1950. Our services include disaster relief, special education, volunteer service, first aid and health training, and blood transfusion. Job Purpose To support Tai Po Fire Emergency Operation, this position supports the execution and monitoring of the Community First Aid Responder (CFAR) Network Project, in order to empower community members to learn and deliver basic first aid with confidence, motivation and quality, or through other means of community development & engagement, so the service remains relevant and agile for social needs in the Hong Kong context. Key Responsibilities Lead the execution of the Community First Aid Responder Project, monitor progress and evaluation, and continue fine‑tuning the programme. Assist supervisors in building capacity of CFAR for emergency services and resilience programme. Recruit and retain CFAR Responders, and supervise subordinates and CFAR Responders to execute the work plans according to timeline. Liaise and maintain relationships with local communities, interest groups, organisations and stakeholders, establish a network of partnership and act as a focal point for communities. Be responsible for local emergency and first aid operations, take charge of urgent enquiries and emergency call‑outs, and act as Duty Staff in absence of the Manager (FAS); during holidays, non‑office hours or extreme weather, if deemed necessary. Requirements Recognised Higher Diploma qualifications or above, preferably in Social Science, Public Health or Public Administration, with at least 2 years of working experience. Sound experience in project management, network building and mass training is preferred. Experience in working as a volunteer in humanitarian response is a definite asset. Strong communication and presentation skills, mature, proactive and able to work independently and under pressure. Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Proficient in PC knowledge (including Microsoft Office). Valid registration as a First Aid Trainer of the Hong Kong Red Cross, or any recognised professional organisation, and holder of a valid first‑aid certification is preferred. Holder of a driving licence (class 1, 2) is preferred.
