About the job Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within People & Culture Department in Hong Kong, the People & Culture Analyst is responsible for analysing payroll data in relation to key revenue metrics, such as occupancy levels and daily covers, ensuring accurate forecasts and optimal productivity levels are established and met. This role requires close collaboration with all departments to streamline and manage the payroll cost effectively, in line with business levels. The People & Culture Analyst reports to the Assistant Director of People & Culture - Compensation & Benefits. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed payroll analysis correlating payroll data with hotel revenue metrics such as occupancy rates and daily covers Assist in developing and maintaining payroll processes and reports that align with hotel financial and operational goals Monitor labour productivity, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements to optimise staffing and labour costs Prepare accurate payroll and labour cost reports and dashboards that provide insights relative to hotel performance Collaborate with hotel departments to review payroll projections Identify and implement best practices to improve payroll processing efficiency and labour management Provide training and support to hotel colleagues on payroll procedures, budgeting, forecasting, and productivity tools What We Expect Proven experience in payroll analysis or related financial roles within the hospitality industry is preferred Strong analytical and data reporting skills with proficiency in payroll software and Excel Knowledge of labour management concepts and payroll compliance standards Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work cross‑functionally with hotel departments Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and time‑management abilities Our Commitment to You Learning & Development – Your success is our success.
