As a core strategic leader, within the global category marketing leadership team, driving global growth for one of Lee Kum Kee’s key Sauces and condiments categories, you will own end-to-end category success—balancing short-term performance delivery with long-term strategic layout, while leading cross-functional collaboration to shape the category’s competitive edge. Key Responsibilities: Global Category Leadership & Growth Ownership Lead the category’s global growth: Own the design and execution of activity streams that drive immediate business results, while spearheading organizational change to build scalable capabilities for future growth (e.g., innovation pipelines, market expansion). Define clear strategic roles and priorities for the assigned portfolio, aligning cross-functional resources (e.g., marketing, supply, R&D) to maximize ROI and reinforce the category’s market leadership. Data-Informed Strategy & Positioning Develop data-driven category/product positioning and strategies: Leverage consumer insights and market data to craft positioning that resonates across global markets, then translate strategies into actionable campaigns, events, and promotions - ensuring consistency in brand messaging while adapting to regional market nuances. Consumer-Centric Insight Deep Dive & Opportunity Activation Conduct rigorous, in-depth analysis of core consumer needs, consumption occasions, and purchase motivations: Turn qualitative/quantitative insights (e.g., consumer interviews, sales data, market research) into prioritized, actionable business opportunities (e.g., new use cases, product refinements). Monitor global market trends and key competitors through data-led business analysis (e.g., share of market, pricing dynamics, competitive innovation)—identifying gaps and pivoting strategies to maintain or grow the category’s competitive advantage. Cross-Functional Influence & Collaboration Lead cross-market alignment: Drive consensus across regional teams to define shared category goals, ensuring global strategy is localized effectively while maintaining consistent growth priorities. Influence and mobilize key stakeholders across functions: Collaborate with Global Brand, Supply Chain, Legal, Technical Services (R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Packaging Development), and Finance teams to accelerate NPD launches, resolve cross-functional bottlenecks, and deliver high-impact campaigns on time and within budget. Core Competencies (Embedded in Role) Strategic Leadership: Ability to set long-term vision, make bold decisions, and lead teams through change to achieve ambitious growth targets. Cross-Functional Influence: Proven track record of aligning diverse stakeholders (even without direct authority) to drive complex projects (e.g., NPD, global campaigns) to success. Consumer & Data Expertise: Strong capability to deep-dive into consumer behavior and market data, turning insights into data-informed strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. Qualifications: Bachelor degree holder in marketing or business administration Minimum 10 years of marketing experience in Food/ FMCG categories, regional or multi-market experience is plus An experienced team leader with > 5 years people management and/or untitled multi-functional leadership experiences Prior experience managing category in key markets, especially Greater China, is highly preferred Minimum 6-8 years multi-market/ global role experience with solid NPD (new product development) experience and brand building and/ or food category and condiment management experience is preferred. Required Skills: Strong strategic thinking with CAN-DO attitude Excellent leadership and communication competences with strong influential skills Strong analytical skills to identify business opportunity and anticipate market dynamic Effective communication and influencing skills, including presentation and report writing skills Demonstrate judgement to define category development towards company goal A team player to drive company goal and core value Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proficient in spoken and written in Cantonese/ Mandarin and English Work location can also be based in Guangzhou or Shanghai We offer competitive salary package and attractive fringe benefits including life insurance, medical & dental to the right candidates.
