Associate, Sales and Trading (Securities Finance / Delta 1 / Derivatives Trader) The Securities Finance / Delta 1 / Derivatives Trader will join a team whose responsibility is to grow NBC Group’s Global Securities Financing business in Asia-Pacific. He/She will be responsible for structuring tailormade financing solutions for clients and counterparts across Asia-Pacific. The main responsibility will be to manage the financing book and increase NBC group’s local footprint and market presence in Asia-Pacific. He/She will also focus on developing long-term relationships with local players and execute new strategies in a small, fast-paced trading team. Roles and Responsibilities Identify trading opportunities across Securities Finance products within Asia-Pacific region, and grow presence in regional markets. Identify and onboard new counterparts in Asia-Pacific region, while maintaining and growing long-term relationships with existing ones. Propose initiatives and develop synergies with other NBC group businesses across products and regions. Cross-product coverage, working closely with other members of Hong Kong office. Take ownership of daily processes, risk management, controls and book management items. Ensure continuous coverage of Global Securities Finance business in Asia-Pacific time zone. Comply with all relevant regulations and procedures. Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Relevant experience in Securities Finance / Delta 1 / derivatives trading. Strong relationship with Asia‑Pacific market participants. Strong mathematical and analytical background. Knowledge, Skills & Experiences In‑depth knowledge of cross‑currency, SBL, repo, equity derivatives and delta one trading. Understanding of FX/rates derivatives products. Experience in Asia‑Pacific markets. Outgoing and positive character, and client‑oriented mindset. Strong knowledge of scarce resources management (capital, regulatory metrics, XVA, etc.). Experience in interacting with multiple teams across regions and functions. Excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast‑paced environment. About Us NB CFMA is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of National Bank of Canada (“NBC”).
