Postdoc (N&HS) (ID: 25002I7) We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology. Major Duties and Responsibilities The team is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoc to join our team. We are looking for a top‑tier candidate to lead a groundbreaking project focused on the molecular driver RBEL1A and its pivotal role in cancer progression and metastasis, which has a strong potential for publication in high‑impact journals. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated researcher to make a significant contribution to the field of cancer biology within a collaborative, well‑funded, and supportive environment. The successful candidate will assist Principal Investigators in the research project “Deciphering the Role and Mechanism of Rab‑like Protein 1A (RBEL1A) in Cancer Cell Migration and Metastasis”. The appointee will investigate the novel GTPase RBEL1A, a key regulator of nucleo‑cytoplasmic transport and stress signaling. The project aims to delineate how RBEL1A dysregulation promotes tumor cell survival, invasion, and metastatic colonization. The appointee will employ a multidisciplinary approach, combining advanced molecular biology techniques, high‑resolution live‑cell imaging, CRISPR‑Cas9, and organoid models to uncover new therapeutic vulnerabilities. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Performing experiments using biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology techniques; Conducting literature review on relevant topics; Drafting manuscripts for publication (at least two publications are expected); Reporting research progress regularly; Providing research‑related assistance. (Mentorship will be provided to the appointee to foster professional growth into an independent scientific leader.) Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized PhD degree (within three years of graduation), preferably in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or related disciplines; A strong publication record, with at least one first‑author paper published or accepted in a reputable, peer‑reviewed journal; Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), statistical analysis; proficiency in cell culture, co‑immunoprecipitation, pull‑down assay, immunoblotting, cell migration assays, cell survival assays, mass spectrometry, immunostaining, and genetic manipulation (e.g., siRNA, shRNA, CRISPR); advanced biomedical techniques will be an advantage; A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; A strong sense of self‑motivation and responsibility, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills, and the ability to design and execute research independently.
