Temp Assistant Manager (Community First Aid – Tai Po Fire Emergency Operation) To support Tai Po Fire Emergency Operation, this position supports the execution and monitoring of the Community First Aid Responder (CFAR) Network Project, in order to empower community members to learn and deliver basic first aid with confident, motivation and quality, or through other means of community development & engagement, which the service should stay relevant and agile for social needs in Hong Kong context. Responsibilities Lead the execution of the Community First Aid Responder Project, monitor the progress and evaluation and continue fine-tuning the programme Assist supervisors in building capacity of CFAR for emergency services and resilience programme Recruit and retain CFA Responders, as well as supervise subordinate and CFA Responders to execute the work plans according to timeline Liaise and maintain relationship with local communities, interest groups, organizations and stakeholder, establish network of partnership and focal point of communities. Be responsible for local emergency and first aid operations, take charge for urgent enquiries and emergency call out, including act as Duty Staff in absence of Manager (FAS); during holidays, non-office hours or extreme weather, if deems necessary Requirements Recognized Higher Diploma qualifications or above, preferably in Social Science, Public Health or Public Administration, with at least 2 years working experience Sound experience in project management, network building and mass training is preferred Experience in working as a volunteer in humanitarian response is a definite asset Strong communication and presentation skills, mature, proactive and able to work independently and under pressure Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) Proficient in PC knowledge (including Microsoft Office) Valid registration as First Aid Trainer of Hong Kong Red Cross, or any recognized professional organization, and holder of valid first aid certification is preferred Holder of Driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred Please send application together with full curriculum vitae and expected salary to the Head of Human Resources Development, Hong Kong Red Cross, 9/F Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters, 19 Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon, HK or email to .
