Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as a centre of design excellence in Asia. Responsibilities Work closely with the Programme Director(s) in planning, implementation and delivery of exhibitions organised by HKDC or partner organisations. Develop, organise and manage the overall planning and execution of the DX design hub programme including budgetary planning and control, timely delivery of the overall project, timely reporting, compliance with corporate governance policies and assessment of outcomes and impact of related activities. Work closely with curator teams to coordinate, plan and manage the exhibition and events. Establish and maintain strong relationships with local, GBA and overseas partners. Identify potential collaborators/partners for organising exhibitions and events. Develop content for workshops and related activities. Provide onsite support and management for exhibition and/or design related programmes. Assist with overall programme planning, developing and arranging documentations and papers for HKDC internal senior management meetings. Support associate directors and/or directors to ensure timely delivery of the overall project, raising any issues, potential risks and suggestions for more effective project management where appropriate. Requirements University graduate with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, including at least 3‑5 years in a team‑leadership role with good coaching skills. Experience in organising or curating exhibitions and programmes; experience in the design, art or cultural field is an advantage. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Good understanding of design trends with a broad range of cultural interests. Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Experience in problem‑solving, a strong sense of responsibility, and highly self‑motivated and multi‑tasking. Excellent communicator with proactive interpersonal and networking skills. Strategic thinking with creative flair. Ownership, accountability, commitment and passion for the design industry. Willingness to work flexible shift hours, days, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
