Assistant Electrical Manager, Data Centre Job Responsibilities Monitor and analyze the overall operation status of the data centre through the DCIM/BMS/SCADA system, respond to alarms triggered by the data centre systems 24/7 and coordinate the team members to conduct on‑site diagnosis and analysis of the alarms. As the on‑site commander in case of emergency, coordinate and command the resources within the team to perform emergency recovery operations according to the EOP document. Create a knowledge base document for on‑site fault diagnosis and maintenance of the data centre and assist in continuous optimisation. Formulate Electrical Operation Strategies: develop data centre operation strategies, cabinet capacity control, PUE optimisation strategies, etc. Conduct Technical Review of major maintenance actions for electrical facilities, review weekly/monthly reports, and review annual data centre drills and maintenance plans. Guide professional handling of severe and major faults, and perform post‑incident fault analysis. Develop the annual electrical maintenance plan. Ensure availability and continuity of data centre power distribution service indicators. Achieve service recovery of each system in the data centre within the specified SLA time limit. Respond to and diagnose monitoring alarms or event tickets of each system in the data centre within the specified time limit. Ensure that the quality of various services provided by the team (inspection/fault diagnosis/emergency drills) meets the quality requirements in the SOW. Liaise closely with facility managers, contractors and suppliers to coordinate resources and resolve on‑site issues. Maintain accurate facility technical records (equipment manuals, maintenance logs, inspection reports) in both Chinese and English, ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Develop and update facility maintenance plans, optimising procedures to enhance equipment reliability and service life. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline. More than 6 years of experience in data centre facility operation and maintenance management, and more than 6 years of experience in electrical system maintenance and management. Ability to diagnose faults in data centre electrical systems. Holding a Registering Electrical Worker (B/C/H) licence is preferred. Familiarity with EMSD and FSD inspection processes and legal requirements, with experience in handling government approvals is a plus. Solid knowledge of electrical systems, proficient in the operation principles and maintenance standards of power distribution. Ability to read technical drawings (CAD plans), equipment manuals and bilingual technical documents. Familiar with office software. Long‑term engagement in related power professions with accumulated technical experience. Experience in the full process of data centre design, construction, testing and acceptance, and operations. Possess data analysis capabilities to quantitatively monitor the operational status of the data centre. Strong problem‑solving and on‑site adaptability, capable of independently diagnosing equipment faults and developing repair plans. Fluent in Cantonese and English (spoken and written), able to communicate technical details and prepare bilingual reports.
