Risk Technology Lead

Responsibilities Lead a development team in the Risk Management Department, enhancing risk systems and database facilities to improve risk reporting and management capacity. Serve as a critical coordinator with the IT Department, risk functional teams, and stakeholders in other departments. Manage projects for data platform and risk reporting application development, including feasibility study, solution analysis, requirement definition, functional design, application and database architecture design, development planning, and documentation. Establish and improve policies and procedures on software development, change request, daily business and static mapping data maintenance, data quality control, system error handling, data/system risk management, and business continuity plan. Keep abreast of the latest technology developments that can be implemented for daily risk management use. Implement MSCI Risk Manager system by working with system vendors, consultants, internal IT, and front and middle office teams, as well as various risk teams (model, market, credit, etc.). Design, develop and maintain a proprietary risk data warehouse on top of MSCI Risk Manager to meet regulatory requirements and internal risk control standards. Build a comprehensive risk reporting engine on top of the core risk engine. Participate in other enterprise technology projects where the Risk Department is a stakeholder. Requirements Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines from a reputable university. 8 years of project management and system analysis experience in data-related domains (at least 3 years in a team lead role), preferably in financial data analytics, database design, implementation, maintenance, big data platforms and AI. Proficiency in database design, data technologies (data streaming, data lake, ETL), concepts (data model, metadata) and tools (SQL, analytic and visualization tools). Hands‑on experience in risk technology on counter‑party credit risk / market risk in the financial industry, and knowledge of fixed‑income / equities products, particularly derivatives and structured products. Proficient in English and Chinese. Strong communication skills with non‑IT / technical audiences. Benefits We offer an attractive remuneration package and fringe benefits to the right candidate.
