Cronos Labs is the ecosystem accelerator of Cronos chain. It drives the development of Cronos and its ecosystem, deploys a broad range of programs aimed at growing user and developer adoption of Cronos, and incubates selected Dapps in order to bootstrap the Cronos ecosystem. Since mainnet launch in November 2021, Cronos has surpassed 4 B$ in total Defi asset value and safely processed more than 70 million of network transactions. It is home to more than 500 Web3 projects and close to a million crypto users, growing at a fast pace. Cronos is an open-source project backed by Crypto.org, Crypto.com, and more than 500 Dapp developers and partners. It is powered by the Cronos ($CRO) cryptocurrency. Together, these partner communities number more than 80 M crypto users. About the role As a Backend Developer, you will design, develop, maintain, and improve software for various ventures projects, i.e., projects that are adjacent to our core businesses and are bootstrapped fast with a lean team. You will be actively involved in the design of various components behind scalable applications focusing on backend infrastructure. Responsibilities Design and implement solutions to complex problems in large‑scale infrastructure Create web applications in a distributed environment Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables Work closely with DevOps to improve tech stack for long‑term engineering initiatives Requirements B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related technical field Experience in developing large scale applications in Node.js / Java / Kotlin / Golang Experience in testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, JUnit Knowledge or experience in GraphQL is a plus Knowledge or experience in NestJs / Spring is a plus Knowledge or experience in PostgreSQL is a plus Knowledge or experience with AWS is a plus Knowledge or experience in Redis, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch is a plus Good motivation and interested in blockchain and cryptocurrency Strong interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed, a fast learner and have a “get things done” mentality Humble to embrace better ideas from others, eager to make things better, open to challenges and possibilities Good command of spoken and written English Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior position Equal Opportunity Cronos Labs is an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating an environment where opportunities are presented to everyone in a fair and transparent way.
