WPB and Retail Portfolio Lead, Real Estate Services, HK HSBC invites applications for the WPB and Retail Portfolio Lead, Real Estate Services, HK role. Role Overview The role holder will support Hong Kong (AMH) Retail Banking and Wealth (RBW) and Commercial Banking (CMB) Businesses in the development and implementation of their branch network initiatives and strategies, driving convenience and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Deliver end-to-end network plans through innovative RES initiatives. Engage with market business leadership to understand processes and ensure RBW/CMB and RES strategies respond to changes. Oversee business awareness and governance, ensuring branch network related RES risks are escalated and addressed timely. Build relationships across diverse business areas. Oversee RES services in the following workstreams: Retail Network strategy planning and optimisation Retail Estates & Transactions management Capital Projects Design and Delivery Facilities Management and Customer Experience Workplace occupancy planningAlignment across Health and Safety, Governance and Planning Add value by providing proactive consultancy and expertise in RES across all disciplines. Engage with external suppliers and internal property professionals. Prioritise costs against P&L and order book aligned with network strategy and RES cost parameters. Manage CMB Network RES related direct and indirect cost profile. Coordinate with Global Portfolio Strategy & Optimisation Function and PTE Leads for optimal branch footprint plans. Serve as first point of contact for RES related inquiries and triage to relevant workstreams. Qualifications and Experience Broad understanding of multiple disciplines in a fast-changing environment. Sound understanding of a value unit/product/region/legal entity, plus industry knowledge and sector challenges. Experience managing a sizeable team, including budget and planning responsibilities. Capability to assess complex situations and make informed judgments. Track record of improving and adapting departmental activities. Ability to make decisions within a policy framework and implement strategies. Accountability for team results and business plans. Excellent communication, persuasion, and diplomatic skills. Strong negotiation and influencing skills within the team.
