No Offer Description Ref.: Work type: Full-time Department: Department of Urban Planning and Design (01300) Categories: Senior Research Staff & Post-doctoral Fellow The Department of Urban Planning and Design invites applications for two positions as Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in Urban Analytics or Construction AI (Ref. no. ). Appointments will commence as soon as possible on a one- to three-year contract, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability. Key Duties and Responsibilities Manage and lead related research projects; Assist in preparing competitive grant applications; Publish high-impact research articles in top-tier journals and Supervise postgraduate students and junior researchers. Successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary team under the leadership of Professor Jun MA ( ), contributing to cutting-edge research initiatives supported by established project funding. Requirements for Post 1: Urban Analytics An excellent publication track record; publications in Nature portfolio journals are highly advantageous; Experience in grant proposal preparation; and Proven experience in research project management. Requirements for Post 2: Construction AI An excellent publication track record in BIM or AI; Substantial experience in LLM-related development is a strong plus (e.g., domain-specific agents, RAG, code generation, or practical applications); Experience in grant proposal preparation; and Proven experience in research project management.
