The company is a subsidiary of a Hong Kong listed company. Business focus is in advanced industrial design, manufacturing and supplying of various electrothermic household appliances. We are seeking an HR Director to manage our workforce across Hong Kong and mainland China . International talents are welcomed. Oversee and responsible for the workforce in Hong Kong and China. There are around 60 in the Hong Kong team covering all headquarter functions, and a headcount of around 2000 in Huizhou. The role is Hong Kong based and frequent travel to China. Job Responsibilities Strategic HR Planning: Align HR strategies with company’s development, growth and goals. Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, retention, onboarding, and staff training & development, and succession planning. Culture: Build & strengthen/enhance corporate culture, enabling it to become an intrinsic, living part of the organization. Employee Relations: Promote a positive and professional workforce/environment where respect for self and others and pride in one’s work are paramount. Performance Management: Implement Appraisal System company-wide with appropriate training and understanding for optimal result and effectiveness. Compensation & Benefits: Regular review & management of same. Training & Development: Encourage a learning culture and provide appropriate opportunities. Compliances: Ensure adherence to HK and China Labor Laws. Administrative Management Collaboration: Work closely with the Chairman or his Deputy and the Senior Management Team, together review the Organizational structure and its effectiveness, and any adjustments or improvements that may be considered to support the organization to take the next step in reaching its goals and aspirations. Operations: Optimize HR and Office workflows to be on a development continuum. Facilities: Oversee office management and policies. Environmental, Health & Safety Governance – ensure up-to-date and strict guidelines are in place. Policies – Develop and enforce company guidelines that are relevant and appropriate. Promote the Partnership and Consultative environment with aligned directions within the organization. Job Requirements University degree holder or equivalent, in the Human Resources or related field preferred. Career may have started in a different discipline other than Human Resources, and with at least 5 years’ experience in the HR field. A professional whom the company is happy for him/her to be their representative at external events and functions. Possesses Vision and is hands-on at the same time; has the eye for detail and can be strategic when needed. Some manufacturing background is essential, as are strategic roles in talent management and employee relations. Sound knowledge and experience in HR Best Practice and Labor Law in Hong Kong and China. Experience in strong relationship building, corporate culture development and Environmental, Health & Safety compliance. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting. Familiar with HR software and tools.
