1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants This is a full scope role within the financial accounting function of Asia. Candidate is expected to work with the finance team in HK on various accounting works for multiple entities, including month end closing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management. Reports to: Senior Accountant Responsibilities Month‑End Closing: Responsible for monthly closing – preparation of journal entries, inter‑company transaction processing, bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation. Treasury and AP: Prepare monthly cash flow, support AP processing including disbursement posting, general office expense handling and payment preparation using HSBCnet (preferred experience). Statutory/Fiscal Reporting & Tax Filing: Support Senior Accountant with statutory audit, account preparation per firm’s timetable and annual income tax filing (Japan consumption & corporate tax). AR Receipts: Post AR receipts as needed, perform accurate daily journals on cash collection and ensure accurate AR settlements in Asian locations. Finance System Upgrade: Test finance system upgrades – AR/AP/GL/Cash management/client monies transaction processing. Person Specification Education/Experience/Qualifications University degree Hands‑on experience from a sizable company, preferably a law firm Experience working across jurisdictions and cultures is a distinct advantage Technical/Work‑Based Skills and Knowledge High degree of professionalism and accuracy in work Effective writing and presentation Ability to interact with partners and secretarial team Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills Experience in Elite 3E preferred Quickly adapt to new financial systems environment Fluent in spoken Mandarin and English General Skills/Attributes Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to help Dedication to work and high commitment with great team spirit Attention to details and responsiveness Able to handle time pressure during busy season Ability to prioritise with minimal supervision Self‑motivation and keen to learn Job Details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Finance and Accounting / Auditing Industries: Law Practice Background Screening All recruits will be required to go through a background screening process.
