Vice President of Sourcing

Vice President of Sourcing & Manufacturing (Apparel, Swimwear, Intimates) Develop and execute sourcing and manufacturing strategies specific to swimwear and lingerie, balancing innovation, quality, and speed-to-market. Lead, mentor and develop high-performance regional teams across sourcing, product development, production, technical design, and quality assurance. Proven leader to a global team and able to manage varied and conflicting priorities to drive to a successful outcome. Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with top-tier factories and suppliers specializing in swimwear and lingerie across Asia (e.g., China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, India, etc). Source and develop capabilities in emerging countries of production: Egypt, Jordan, Middle East, et al. Manage and maintain country intelligence data to support cost benefit and risk metrics. Able to negotiate cost benefit in all aspects of development and manufacturing requirements. Negotiate favorable terms and ensure alignment with brand standards and compliance requirements. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed. Product Development & Technical Expertise Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to ensure manufacturability and cost targets are met during product development. Oversee team that manages fit, construction, and technical execution of garments, ensuring consistency and excellence in intimate apparel standards. Able to drive raw material suppliers and work on strategic partnerships. Operational Excellence Optimize production planning, lead time, and inventory flow to support seasonal and replenishment programs. Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance & Sustainability Ensure all sourcing partners adhere to ethical labor, environmental, and safety standards. Champion sustainable materials and practices in line with brand values and consumer expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a strategic bridge between Asia operations and U.S. brand teams, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and alignment. Provide regular updates on sourcing performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Apparel Production, or related field. 15+ years of experience in apparel sourcing and manufacturing with at least 5 years in senior management level. Strong understanding of U.S. retail and brand expectations, especially in premium/lifestyle categories. Deep knowledge of Asia-based supply chains and factory capabilities in swimwear apparel. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills. Action oriented and able to navigate quick solution-oriented thinking. Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus. Able to travel 20% of time within Asia and US. Preferred Attributes Technical knowledge of swimwear and lingerie construction, materials, and fit standards. Experience with digital product development tools (e.g., 3D sampling, PLM systems). Passion for innovation, sustainability, and ethical sourcing. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment. Permanent Hong Kong Resident is preferred.
