Location: Hong Kong / Shenzhen (3–4 days per week in HK if based in SZ) Salary Range: HKD 800,000 – 1,000,000 annually Company: Crypto Quant Fund of Funds (FoF) Type: Full-time / Onsite‑Hybrid About the Role We are looking for a hands‑on, technically capable Risk Monitoring Manager to support daily operational risk monitoring for a crypto‑focused Fund of Funds. This role is execution‑driven , focusing on: building lightweight monitoring scripts, detecting anomalies in fund flows and performance, Ideal for candidates with Python + data skills and crypto trading/risk familiarity , who can start contributing immediately without needing a large team or complex infrastructure. Key Responsibilities 1. Daily Risk Monitoring & Reporting Monitor capital allocated to external quant teams and ensure exposures remain within limits. Track fund inflows/outflows, PnL, performance deviations, and drawdown triggers. Maintain dashboards, spreadsheets, or Python notebooks for daily checks. Prepare concise risk reports for senior management. Conduct ongoing monitoring of external managers’ trading activity and behavior patterns. Detect anomalies such as unexpected drawdowns, volatility spikes, or unusual position changes. Validate strategy‑reported metrics against internal calculations. 3. Data & Automation Support Write simple Python scripts to automate daily checks and alerts (e.g., via email/Telegram). Pull data via APIs (CEX/DEX/Portfolio systems) and clean/transform for risk calculations. Maintain and iterate monitoring rules, thresholds, and indicators. 4. Fund Flow & Risk Controls Track deployed capital, margin usage, liquidity, and counterparty exposures. Identify operational risks from fund transfers, reconciliation mismatches, or reporting inconsistencies. 5. Cross‑Functional Coordination Work closely with CIO, COO, external strategy providers, and operations teams. Communicate risks proactively and elevate issues based on predefined thresholds. Requirements Must‑Haves 2–5 years experience in risk monitoring, trading support, data analysis , or related fields. Basic coding ability in Python (able to query data, process CSV/API, calculate metrics). Strong understanding of crypto trading products (spot, futures, perpetuals). Familiar with basic risk concepts: exposure, leverage, drawdown, PnL analysis. Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect abnormalities. Fluent in English and Mandarin. Nice‑to‑Haves Experience in a crypto fund, quant team, prop shop, or CEX. Understanding of simple quantitative indicators and time‑series analysis. Prior experience with API integrations for data pulling. Ability to improve dashboards or build lightweight automation tools.
