Part‑time Lecturer (2026 Spring Term) (PG) (A&SS) – (25002LI) School of Arts and Social Sciences, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Founded in 1989, HKMU is a modern, vibrant university dedicated to professional education. We are looking for a suitable candidate in the School of Arts and Social Sciences. Major Duties and Responsibilities Course planning, development and delivery of postgraduate programmes. Conducting lectures and tutorials. Writing lecture notes, designing and marking assignments/examination scripts. Performing other related teaching and administrative duties. Qualifications and Requirements Select courses and corresponding qualifications as follows: CHIN 2007ACF / CHIN A206CF – 實用生活粵語 – Applicants must hold a master’s or higher degree, majoring in Chinese Language and Literature, Linguistics or related disciplines. Relevant teaching experience preferred. CHIN 2008ACF – 實用進階粵語 – Same degree requirement and preference. CHIN 8108ACF / CHIN A808CF – 作家選講 – Master’s or higher degree in Chinese Language and Literature or related discipline; teaching experience preferred. GAPG 8004AEF – Society and Culture in the Era of Globalization – Preferred higher degree, ideally a doctorate in Politics or related discipline. Tertiary teaching experience advantageous. PSYC 8003AEF – Psychology for Decision‑Making – Preferred doctorate in Psychology or related discipline. Tertiary teaching experience advantageous. SOCI 8006AEF – Criminal Justice and Selected Crime Issues – Preferred doctorate in Sociology, Criminology or related discipline. Tertiary teaching experience advantageous. Duration of Appointment Work on evenings or Saturday/Sunday on campus from January 2026 to June 2026, maximum 17 hours per week.
