Role Overview TP ICAP is seeking a Trainee Broker to join our Hong Kong team. This is an entry‑level role into Broking and offers on‑the‑job training and exposure to the financial markets we operate within. We’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic individual who can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team, think on their feet, and start a career in Financial Services. Role Responsibilities Arrange or introduce trades from client orders Develop existing and new client relationships Understand the business objectives of clients Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with new products, procedures, and regulatory, execution and clearing requirements Develop new business with existing clients and onboard new clients/traders Seek to increase the overall revenue of your desk Maintain an updated knowledge of the products and markets; actively solicit feedback from industry participants through trade calls, surveys, events, trade shows and conferences Understand the desk’s business strategy and identify new opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients Onboard new clients following the correct process with the Client On‑Boarding team Assess client needs and financial conditions to identify internal cross‑selling opportunities Understand pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape Support a risk and compliance‑aware culture and comply with group policies Exercise independent judgement and act with integrity, care, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and elevate issues as appropriate Competence / Experience Essential Understands ideas and has a viewpoint on the markets and economy Willingness to engage with internal and external stakeholders outside of the immediate desk environment Bilingual language skills in Mandarin and English Communicates effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders Builds relationships and networks with both internal and external parties where possible Desirable Personable and engaging Demonstrates strong customer focus Demonstrates ability to work effectively with others Constructively handles disagreements to reach a resolution Ability to work with diverse groups/personas Taiwanese background Cantonese language skills Job Band and Level: Professional, 4 Location: Hong Kong – 21st Floor – One Hennessy – Wan Chai Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Tullett Prebon by 2x.
